Today Was a Beautiful Day

I made a friend who happen to work at Rite Aide.(I don’t remember if I got her okay to use her name LOL) She and I became friends not to long ago and she seemed to have had a wonderful softspot for William. We talked and laughed about his famous one liners and achievements hes made. She was so happy for William when he brought in his diploma to show her. I found myself enjoying our times together. Becoming Williams caregiver can feel isoIated at times so I am so grateful for her kind heart and eagerness to lend an ear when I needed it most.

Later she introduced me to a new hire who was just as sweet as her. Apparently they both have handled the world like mine. It was so refreshing not having to explain myself because they understood where I was coming from. I’m so thankful for their presence in my life. I know that as long as they are around, I can make it through any challenge. And if your reading ladies Thank you for the positive energy! 🙂

I got a text about coming in to the store. They had something special for William for getting his diploma. I have to say it came at a good time because he was having a day he doubted himself and his ability to make me proud. He feels the need to apologize about everything. Breaks my heart.

The love they shown to him was very contagious. The growth he made to take a trip around the store without me was something I thought I’d never see. It gave me a chance to breathe and chat with others. Yeah I appreciate the little things. ☺

Then they gave him a bag full of “arts and crafts” and his favorite candy (Reese Cups)

He was speechless but his smile said so much. ♥

They took the time to go through the bag and explain things. And I stayed back and let him enjoy his moment. He felt so special. For me, it was a reminder of how we take the little moments for granted and how much joy they can bring.
