Our Life Changer

The new fiscal started July 1st. William’s new waver is now in full effect. (Doubled each year) I’m with a new company who has been a blessing in its self. We are federally tax exempt and my pay rate doubled. Unlimited gas mileage. (even when I’m off the clock) So I’m able to travel more for work and have my own car expense receipt. Its like having a second job without leaving the comfort of your first one. It’s been an amazing experience so far, but it’s only the beginning! So excited for what’s next and to see where this journey takes the both of us.

We even started a new project making cards for the elderly in nursing homes. I built this idea on Williams strong interest doing arts and crafts. I was looking for a way we could use his skills to give back to the community and this seemed like a great opportunity.

We are going around area thrift stores and collecting materials, write out messages of love and encouragement, and then crafted greeting cards with the supplies we have. We are having an incredible experience! and feel inspired. Since then, I’ve made some phone calls and we adopted a nursing home in Virginia to send the cards. I would like to see that grow once William gets use to making them.

He also got to work at the food bank yesterday. He loves to be there.. The ladies offer him subs and chat with him before he gets started. It’s a nice place to be and the ladies make it feel like family. He loves being able to help out his community, no matter how small the task may seem. He knows that he is making an impact on people’s lives one box at a time.

William diligently applied for his own food bank card, showcasing his ability to follow instructions and respond thoughtfully. It’s remarkable how he manages to maintain his independence while requiring separate resources. We even ordered him his own bank card with his picture on it. Next its a photo Id.

Things are moving along a lot better without the distractions of ones who never appreciated me to begin with. Only reminded me of what I didn’t do instead of the things I did do.. Pooh sees it at least, hell he calls me his “hero”. That says it all right there. Thanks for reading
