Our trip to the salt cave was amazing. I don’t know about you but both our allergies are the worst this year. So, I managed to recieve a free session for the salt cave at the Chambers Apothecary I had been there once and loved it, I took the role of the dice to see how well my son would do. At home, all I have to do is say Meditation and he go right into position. But sitting in a room for an hour. Well thats another story.
Salt Cave
We were greeted very warmly. I knew that was a good start because Pooh feels the vibes off of people. He sat in a chair while I got us checked in and he went right into position to meditate. Thats was a good sign.
After we were checked in the woman guided us down a short hallway, asked us to take our shoes off and our personal items in a locker. Offered us blankets and took us to a very large door. Once she opened the door Pooh peaked around it looked inside and said, “Oh so cool.”
The surrounds put Pooh in a immediate calmness I’ve never seen before. Then I told him he could pick out a chair to sit in. I tried not to laugh as I watched him struggle to walk through the salt, it was so cute.
We took a few minutes to adjust to the atmosphere. Then he looked at me and said, “meditate?”
I told him to go right ahead. He lasted 55 minutes without saying a word, eyes closed and I can hear him controling his breathing, with each breath he took. I wasn’t expecting perfection out of our session because it was something new. But it was enough to show me it was obviously something he needed.
