When the support caseworker shared the news of my son’s autism waiver doubling, I was overjoyed. The increased funding meant that he could finally get the services and support he needed without me having to guess what would work for him. After months of documenting my son’s progress in his treatment plan and our support caseworker advocating for higher levels of support, it was so rewarding to see that all the hard work had paid off. With the new waiver in place, I can rest assured knowing that my son is getting the support he needs to reach his highest potential. I am grateful for the caseworker’s diligence and commitment to helping our family get access to these resources. We are now one step closer to creating a brighter future for my son.

It Doesn’t Stop There

Williams’s caseworker found another company who offers more money and supports us because they have children with disabilities themselves and I see that makes a big difference. They understand. I don’t have to explain myself because they have been there themselves. Knowing that someone is willing to give us this opportunity, I’ll be able to provide for my son and me. We are going to be okay.

I can even take paid vacations. I don’t know how to comprehend that one LOL.

All of this has given both my son and me hope for a brighter future. We can now focus on his progress rather than worrying about how I will pay for the necessities.

Overall, I am thankful for the progress we have made in such a short period. With continued hard work, dedication, and support from our caseworker we are in a much better place.
